PGA Super 60's At Wollaton Park this Wednesday and Thursday The first ever PGA Super 60s event was staged back in 1994 and the reason behind its creation was to respond to the increasing popularity of seniors’ golf both at professional and amateur level. It is open to teams with a Professional and amateur who are aged 60 years or over and is played on a betterball basis over 36 holes. While the competitive side of the game remains at the forefront of the competition for PGA members and amateurs, the event is also seen as a way of catching up with old friends and rivals. Keith MacDonald and Ralph Pickering were winners of the inaugural event, which was staged at Selsdon Park, while ex-Ryder Cup players Bernard Hunt and Lionel Platt have also got their hands on the trophy. Why not come down and support our very own John Lower with partner Stuart Belcher, Glyn Krause with partner Richard Coleman and a warm welcome back to Roger Hastings playing with partner Brian Ross, see the PGA website for Results and Tee times.
