Next competition booking

The next competition for booking will open Monday, 24 June at 4pm in the Pro Shop and 7pm online. The competition choice by the Captain for Saturday, 6 July on Gents Captains Day will be a Medal betterball and members will only be allowed to book their team of two players. This competition will run through the day and will not be two shotgun starts as previously advertised.

Saturday, 6 July - Captains Day.

Saturday, 13 July - Medal and Charity Cup £3+£2 Charity Cup The Charity Cup is a board competition with the best Nett Medal score winning the trophy. Players must have played three qualifying competitions in the last twelve months to win the competition. The money raised will be added to the Captains Charity.

Saturday, 20 July Club Pros Competition - The competition this year will be Double Greensomes with the challenge of beating the score posted by our Head Pro Martyn Brown and Lee Clarke. All money raised on the day will be paid out to any winners in pro shop vouchers.

Saturday, 27 July Stableford - no Tee Reservation.

Wow. What a strike

How good does it feel when you strike the ball right out of the sweet spot? Pretty special, right? As much as we'd all love to, striking the centre of the clubface on every shot isn't realistic, which is why opting for some irons with added MOI could make all the difference.

What is MOI?

An iron’s actual sweet spot is no bigger than a pinhead, with anything struck outside resulting in the clubhead beginning to twist at impact – this is what is commonly referred to as MOI. The higher a club's MOI, the more stable it is through impact and therefore more resistant to twisting. So...
